An incredible THREE Awards from the Best Business Awards!
I’m beyond proud of our recent wins at the 2022 Best Business Awards where The Craft Irish Whiskey Co. won awards for Best Innovation and Disruptor of the Year, and I was presented with Outstanding Entrepreneur. These are the UK’s highest profile awards making this is an outstanding achievement for a young company. Food and Beverage Networker picked up on our awards haul and you can read their article here.
Despite only founding The Craft Irish Whiskey Co. and Whiskey & Wealth Club in 2018, we’ve been winning awards ever since. These latest ones are particularly rewarding as they recognise the innovative approach we take when crafting our rare whiskeys. It’s not been an easy journey to this point, and many have questioned our methods. As I said to Food & Beverage Networker, we’ve ruffled a lot of feathers in the whiskey industry, but we are proud disruptors, and this award proves that approach is paying off.
The article also mentions our recent win at the World Whiskies Awards where The Devil’s Keep was judged World’s Best Irish Single Malt across all categories, while our later releases, The Taoscán and The Brollach were awarded Silver and Bronze. As a testament to our innovation and disruption, there can be no higher award (except perhaps winning World’s Best Single Malt, but that’s one to aim for next year!).
As the Chairman of the Best Business Awards noted, we’re “reviving the whiskey-making art by elevating it with science”... and creating “expertly crafted rare whiskeys with their own unique flavour and aroma”. He goes onto say “This is a brilliant start for The Craft Irish Whiskey Co. and a real boost for the Irish whiskey industry. Sláinte! to entrepreneur Jay Bradley for putting mass production in its place and reviving the art of crafting superb Irish whiskey the old-fashioned way with a bit of help from science! In the 19th century, Irish whiskey dominated the market, and Jay has brought the spirit back to its former glory.”
Winning these awards is a huge achievement, and one I owe to the rest of The Craft Irish Whiskey Co. team. Starting out during the Covid-19 pandemic and building the business at a time of great logistical difficulties hasn’t been without its challenges, but awards such as this are proof that we’re creating something special. Together we’re working to raise the profile of luxury Irish whiskey and winning these awards and the recognition from business leaders of our innovative methods is another step in that journey.
